Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reaches Garpa in Abujhmad under Sushasan Tihar, holds direct dialogue with villagers

Chief Minister announces several development works related to health, roads, education and security for the Garpa region

Narayanpur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Monday visited Garpa Gram Panchayat in the Abujhmad region of Orchha development block in Narayanpur district under Sushasan Tihar and interacted warmly with villagers during a Jan Chaupal. The Chief Minister received a grand welcome from villagers in accordance with traditional customs and enthusiasm. During the Jan Chaupal, he listened to public grievances, reviewed the progress of various schemes and reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that welfare schemes reach the last person.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Sushasan Tihar is a powerful medium for direct dialogue between the government and the people. Its objective is to ensure that government schemes reach the grassroots and that public grievances are resolved promptly. He said that the region remained affected by Naxal violence for many years, due to which development activities were hindered for decades. However, the situation is now changing rapidly, and a new chapter of development is being written across Abujhmad and the entire Bastar region.

Attributing credit of bringing peace and development in Bastar region, Chief Minister hailed leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. “The state government is effectively implementing special schemes for the social and economic upliftment of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs). Chhattisgarh is among the leading states in the implementation of the PM Janman Yojana,” said Shri Sai.

Chief Minister said that the government intends to rapidly extend basic facilities such as roads, bridges, electricity, education, healthcare and communication to remote forest regions. Road and bridge construction works in and around Garpa are progressing rapidly, which will make life easier for residents and accelerate development.

Assuring the villagers, he said that there will be no shortage of funds or resources for the development of the region and that all necessary works will be completed on priority.

During the Jan Chaupal, the Chief Minister interacted with women beneficiaries of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. The women informed him that they were using the financial assistance received under the scheme not only for household needs but also for depositing money in Sukanya Samriddhi accounts for their daughters’ future. The Chief Minister described this as a positive step towards women’s empowerment and encouraged women to become self-reliant.

The Chief Minister encouraged for integrated farming for farmers, assured that irrigation facilities for farmers would be expanded. He added that the government is continuously making efforts to ensure fair prices for forest produce collectors.

He also informed villagers about various welfare schemes, including the Ram Lalla Darshan Yojana, Atal Digital Service, Chief Minister’s Helpline, Mukhya Mantri Bus Service, MGNREGA Job Cards and the Lakhpati Didi Yojana. The Chief Minister interacted with women of self-help groups, appreciated their work and assured them of all possible support to expand their economic activities further.
