Delegation of Women Led by Rajya Sabha MP Smt. Laxmi Verma Meets Chief Minister, Expresses Gratitude

Raipur, April 30, 2026/ A delegation of women representatives, led by Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Mrs Laxmi Verma, called on Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai at his office in the State Assembly premises here today.

On the occasion, the women representatives felicitated Chief Minister Shri Sai and conveyed their sincere gratitude for convening a special session of the Assembly in support of Nari Shakti Vandan Act and for proposing the formal government resolution in this regard. They described the initiative as a historic step towards ensuring dignity, empowerment, and the protection of women’s rights, expressing confidence that it would pave the way for positive societal transformation.

The delegation lauded the efforts being undertaken under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai for the upliftment of women across the state. They expressed firm belief that these measures would further boost the pace of women empowerment and strengthen their participation across diverse sectors.

Responding to the delegation, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai reaffirmed that the state government accords the highest priority to dignity, safety, and self-reliance of women. He noted that landmark initiatives such as Nari Shakti Vandan would establish new benchmarks of equality and justice in society.

He further emphasised that women are important partners in the development journey of the state, and that the vision of all-round development remains incomplete without their empowerment. Expressing his gratitude to the visiting delegation, Chief Minister Shri Sai emphasized the government’s unwavering commitment towards ensuring comprehensive development of women and safeguarding their rights.
