Government reaches every village: Shri Sai begins statewide tour under Sushasan Tihar

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai on Sunday launched his statewide tour under Sushasan Tihar, flying from Raipur to the remote forest village of Chandagarh in Pathalgaon block of Jashpur district, where he received a warm welcome from villagers. Senior officials, including Principal Secretary Shri Subodh Kumar Singh and Special Secretary Shri Rajat Bansal, accompanied him.

During the visit, Shri Sai’s humane side was evident in Bhainsamuda village, where he warmly interacted with a four-year-old girl, Manavika Chauhan. When she said she wanted to become a doctor, he encouraged her with blessings, creating a heartfelt moment appreciated by her family.

Shri Sai also conducted a surprise inspection of a house being built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana for beneficiary Smt. Anusuya Paikara, who extended gratitude to the chief minister for realizing her dream of owing a house. Shri Sai reviewed construction quality, and even joined in the work. He said Sushasan Tihar aims to ensure direct public interaction, assess ground-level implementation of schemes, and resolve issues in a time-bound manner.

At Chandagarh, Shri Sai visited the grocery shop of ‘Lakhpati Didi’ Sumila Korwa, who started her business with a Mudra loan. He praised her self-reliance, purchased items while paying himself, and said such women are setting new benchmarks for economic empowerment in tribal regions.

In Bhainsamuda, Shri Sai also joined schoolchildren for a game of cricket and directed officials to provide sports kits and facilities. At a public interaction, he reviewed basic issues like ration, water, electricity, and land records, and announced key development works including a community hall, mini stadium, and roads.

Later, in Silma village of Surguja district, Shri Sai attended a village-level meeting, listened to public grievances, and assured prompt action, reiterating that Sushasan Tihar brings governance to people’s doorsteps.

In Balrampur district, Shri Sai visited the Rural Self-Employment Training Institute (RSETI) where he greeted trainees with “Jai Bihaan” and interacted with Pashu Sakhis. Beneficiary Smt. Anuradha Gupta from Kevli said she supports animal care, surveys, and awareness under the scheme. Shri Sai said skill training is making rural women self-reliant and strengthening the village economy, adding that 510 trainees have been prepared for self-employment through 16 RSETI batches in the district.

He also reviewed a self-help group exhibition, Smt. Purnima Basin of Komal Self-Help Group said she began organic farming with bank linkage and CIF support, earning Rs 3 lakh in a year from Jeerafool rice. Shri Sai praised her success, issued cheque of Rs 21 lakh to five groups, and honoured Sarpanch Smt. Khushboo Singh and Secretary Smt. Sunita Maravi of Kachhiya for securing first place in the state in the child-friendly Panchayat category, noting that women’s participation is driving rural self-reliance and prosperity.

Shri Sai inspected the under-construction Nalanda Campus in Balrampur, being built at a cost of Rs 4.48 crore, and directed officials to ensure timely completion with high quality. He said the campus will serve as a modern study centre with an e-library and competitive exam resources, expressing confidence it will become a strong hub of knowledge and opportunity for the district’s youth.
